Sound familiar?
You’ve tried. It just hasn’t translated.
You’ve done all the Google searches.
“How to exercise with a spinal fusion.”
“Is Pilates safe after scoliosis surgery?”
“Why does my back hurt when I try to work out?”
You’ve followed programs designed for someone else’s body and hoped they’d translate to yours.
Maybe you’ve had providers hand you a plan that didn’t fit for you at all. Maybe you haven’t started yet because you don’t know which direction to head, and setting off the wrong way feels scarier than staying put.
You’re not lost because you didn’t try hard enough. You’re wandering because you’ve been navigating without a map made for YOUR terrain.
“Ever since I had my spinal fusion I’ve been kind of lost when it comes to movement and exercise. I had a VERY high pain day yesterday and once I did your class I felt so much more open and loose. So glad I found you!”
-Julianne R.
Imagine this.
Knowing exactly which way is your best path forward.
Not guessing. Not following someone else’s trail and hoping it leads somewhere good. Actually knowing: this is my path, this is my pace, this is what I do when things get hard.
Waking up after a full weekend of real life — gardening, hiking with a friend, playing with your dog — and feeling okay. Good, even. Not because you pushed through it. Because you know your body. You know where to go next.
That’s what happens when you stop wandering and start moving with a map built for YOU.
What’s included
Two sessions. One guide. Your path forward.
1 — Your Assessment Session
A 50-minute virtual Pilates session via Zoom. We move together, I assess your patterns and needs, and we discover how your body actually works — based on your history, your goals, your real life. You’ll complete a brief intake form beforehand so we can hit the ground running. Session is recorded; the replay is yours to keep.
2 — Your Personalized Home Movement Guide
Written by me, from scratch, within 5 business days of your session. Exercises built for your body, your goals, your real life, with modifications, clear cues, and instructions you can follow at home without me in the room. Think of it as your trail map: drawn for your specific landscape, not mass produced for everyone.
3 — Your Follow-Up Session
A focused 30-minute session via Zoom after you’ve had a chance to try your guide. I’ll watch you move through the exercises, answer your questions, and refine anything that needs adjusting. Your guide gets updated same day. This is the built-in reason you’ll actually use it: because someone’s meeting you back on the trail to make sure you’re still on the right path.
4 — Your Session Recordings
Full recordings of both sessions, yours to keep and return to whenever you need a refresher.
who it’s for
Is this really for me?
This is for you if…
- You have a spinal fusion, scoliosis, or complex body history
- You’re tired of searching, trying, and starting over
- You haven’t started your fitness journey yet and don’t know which direction to head
- You want to move well in real life, not just slog through a workout
- You’ve finished PT and want to build an independent practice
- You want expert guidance you can use at home or anywhere in the world
This is not for you if…
- You’re looking for a shortcut or quick fix
- You want a pre-filled plan designed for the masses
- You’re not willing to try the exercises and show up for your follow-up
- You want in-person sessions (available at our Franklin, TN studio)
Three out-of-pocket PT sessions will run you $500 or more, and you’ll leave with isolated exercises designed to treat one problem area, not a roadmap for how your whole body wants to move and live. Generic fitness programs cost less up front and more in the long run: wasted money, wasted time, and sometimes actual pain from doing the wrong things for your specific body.
Think of it this way: Your Movement Map isn’t giving you a fish. It’s teaching you HOW to fish. For yourself, on your own schedule, for the rest of your life. One investment. The tools to self-navigate, forever.
“I’m 70 years old, had a fusion at 14, and have been to countless classes that started great and then became all backbends and forward rolls. It was so nice to get through a class without getting depressed. Thank you!”

your trail guide
Hi, I’m Allie. And I know these woods.
Because I’ve walked them myself. I’ve lived with a scoliosis spinal fusion and chronic pain since 2007 — which means I’m not guessing about what your body is navigating. I know what it feels like to search for movement that makes sense for a unique body and come up empty. I know the bends in the path that catch you off guard, and the relief you feel when you finally find solid ground.
I’m a Balanced Body-trained, Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, NASM certified personal trainer, and trauma-informed movement practitioner. I opened Havenwell Pilates in Franklin, Tennessee to be an inclusive fitness space for people who don’t feel welcomed in traditional gyms or studios — specializing in spinal fusions, scoliosis, chronic pain, and complex body histories.
Since 2024, I’ve been teaching spinal fusion modification workshops for other Pilates instructors, because this kind of guidance is too rare — and too desperately needed. Your Movement Map is the most personal experience I offer. From start to finish, it’s created entirely for you.
“I’m fused all the way from T1 to L3, and Allie was able to explain how my muscles and spine move based on the type & extent of my scoliosis and spinal fusion. Allie taught me modifications based on how my body moves (or doesn’t move). I am much more confident, and I’m looking forward to working with her again as I progress in my Pilates journey. 10/10 would recommend.”

your questions, answered
FAQs
Is $495 really worth it?
That depends on what you’re comparing it to. Three PT sessions out of pocket costs $500 or more, and you’ll leave with isolated exercises for one problem area, not a roadmap for how your whole body wants to move and live. Generic fitness programs are cheaper upfront, until they don’t work, or until they lead to an injury or flare-up.
Your Movement Map is built entirely around you: your history, your body, your real life. And unlike a session you walk away from, you leave with something you can use independently, forever. If you’ve been wandering for months or years, the better question might be: what’s it costing you to keep wandering?
How is this different from a regular private Pilates session?
A private session is great for ongoing work. I guide you in real time through a full workout, and you leave feeling good.
Your Movement Map is different. It’s an assessment that results in a written guide you can take home and use independently. Think of it as drawing your map, not just walking together for an hour.
Is this only for people with a specific diagnosis or condition?
Not at all. The Movement Map is for anyone with a complex body who needs movement designed for them specifically. That includes anyone living with spinal fusion, scoliosis, chronic pain, disc issues, hypermobility, past injuries, or anyone who has never found movement that felt truly right for their body. Not sure if it fits your situation? Email me and we’ll talk it through.
What equipment do I need at home?
Your guide is built around what you already have available, even if that’s just the floor and your body. We’ll cover this in your intake form before your first session. No special gear is required to start.
Why are there scheduling windows?
Because the most beautiful trail map in the world doesn’t help you if it stays folded in your pocket (or in this case, your inbox). You have 30 days from purchase to book your assessment, and 21 days from guide delivery to book your follow-up. These aren’t arbitrary; they’re the structure that makes sure you actually use what you paid for, while momentum is on your side.
Can I do this if I’m early post-op?
That depends on where you are in recovery and what your surgeon has cleared you for. Reach out before purchasing and we’ll have an honest conversation about whether this is the right timing.
What’s your refund policy?
Because this is a custom, time-intensive service, refunds aren’t available once your session has been completed. If something comes up before your session, reach out and we’ll work it out.
